WE ARE NOT PERFECT, BUT WE ARE ALWAYS TRYING
We know we are not perfect but understand that it is our responsibility to do what we can to become the sustainable company we strive to be.
A report of where we are and the steps we are taking towards becoming a more responsible and sustainable manufacturer of workwear.
With full transparency in production
We have full transparency in the factories in Sri Lanka and Vietnam where we have our production. We can feel secure with the fact that our production is carried out in a nice way with satisfied colleagues at our production units.
This is the story
Follow the entire production chain of how the workwear are made. We have full control over the entire production. Let´s start the video!
From 5 to 1.8 per year
The power of buying less by buying better. NCC started using Blåkläder´s trousers, they only now need to buy 1.8 per year instead of 5, which means reduced costs and reduced natural resources.
CODE OF CONDUCT
We want to take our responsibility.
Here’s what we’re doing to make sure Blåkläder´s products are produced under safe, fair, legal and humane working conditions.
Chemicals in textile
It's all about choosing the right ones
Textiles manufacturing requires chemicals, but to reduce the adverse impacts on the environment and minimise health and safety hazards, it’s a question of doing right by choosing the right chemicals. We work day-in, day-out to do just that.
Over 50 years of hard work
With its roots firmly planted in the heartland of Swedish textile industry, Blåkläder has a long and proud history of clothing production.
Oeko Tex® is one of the world's most well-known and established organizations that work with product safety and control of hazardous substances in textiles, leather and components.
We are a part of the textile industry, and as such we bear an extra responsibility due to our resource-heavy operations.
